Mr. Frank Helmes pioneered the development of electron beam welding as a founder and president of Fusion Lab. Inc. He later sold his interest and became president of Atlantic Valve Corporation. One of the largest valve re-builders in the United States, serving the fossil fuel and nuclear power generation industry, refineries, chemical plant and the pulp and paper mill in the United States.
After a successful career, Mr. Helmes sold this company and was recruited to join Leybold Optics Inc., the world’s largest thin film deposition system manufacturer based in Hanau, Germany, as head of North American Division for the Precision Optics Division. He was responsible for cultivating the name of Leybold Optics to the United States and Canadian industries for deposition systems and increased sales from $1.5 million to over $18 million.
Upon recognizing the up and coming thin film coating systems manufacturer, Tecport Optics Inc., he knew he needed to join the company. He is currently leading the sales and marketing effort that has produced a remarkable upswing in sales and pushed the company to the forefront of the industry as leading manufacturers of Thin Film Technology Companies.
